Goodale Street Parking Facility Subcontractors Honored at Topping Out Celebration

The construction team building the new 800-space Goodale Street Parking Facility across from the Greater Columbus Convention Center celebrated the structural completion of the top story of the eight-level project on Oct. 27 with a topping-out celebration and luncheon. Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority Executive Director Don Brown joined representatives from architectural firm NBBJ and Smoot Construction in honoring all of the project subcontractors. The $18 million, state-of-the-art garage will open in early 2016 and eventually be attached to the Convention Center by an enclosed walkway. It replaces a 192-space surface lot, bringing the number of parking spaces directly affiliated with the facility to nearly 4,000.
