Grand Opening Celebrates State-Of-The-Art Goodale Street Garage

The threat of thundershowers couldn’t keep more than 100 well-wishers from turning out Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of a new 800-space, state-of-the-art parking facility.

The Goodale Street Garage, located on Goodale just north of the Greater Columbus Convention Center, was on display as Columbus’s newest showpiece for both parking and local art.

As part of FCCFA’s citywide initiative to infuse local art in all of its facilities, the garage features eight stunning “Art Park” creations – unique, captivating pieces from local artists that elevate the parking experience and also help customers to remember on which floor their cars are parked.

Event attendees enjoyed a gallery-like reception as they wound their way down the stairwell, stopping at each floor to mingle with local artists, sample food and drink, and appreciate the installations.
