Topiary Garden

I have been fascinated with The Topiary Park ever since its creation over 25 years ago, and have taken literally thousand of images of it, many of which have appeared in numerous publications, various notecards and three exclusive calendars. This B&W rendition is one of my more recent images. The Park is a landscape of a painting of a landscape. The brainchild of James T. Mason, a sculptor, and his wife Elaine, it is a living sculptural interpretation of George Seurat’s famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte. It is also the only topiary interpretation of a painting in existence.
