On old Routh 40 just west of town

I had intended to call this painting “My Aunt and Uncle had a house there and we used to sit on the porch and watch the cars whiz by.” The narrative made sense to me but in the end simple titles are often the best so that you (the viewer) can read what you like into the image. I am interested in endings, and find resonance in things that have been abandoned, that are rusting, falling apart, or disintegrating.
